Ingredients of Chole Rice

It's 2 cups of Chana.
Prepare 1 cup of Onions.
It's 1 of Cardamom.
It's 1 of Cloves.
It's 2-3 of Garlic pods.
It's 1 cup of Tomato puree.
You need 2 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
It's 2 tbsp of Green chillies.
You need 1 tbsp of Cumin seeds.
You need 1 tbsp of Cumin powder.
Prepare 1/2 tbsp of Turmeric.
Prepare 1 tbsp of Besan.
Prepare as per taste of Salt.
It's 1 tbsp of Garam masala.
You need 2 tbsp of Chole masala.

Chole Rice step by step

Firstly soak the chana overnight..
Take a cooker and put the soaked chana to it..
Add 2 cups of water, ajwain seeds and salt to it. You can also add green tea bag to it to give it a nice colour..
Add bay leaf, cardamom, clove,2-3 garlic pcs, few onions slices to it. Mix it all well and give it 4-5 whistles..
Now the chana is boiled..
Take a pan and heat oil to it..
Add cumin seeds and let it crackle..
Once it crackles add the left onions chopped and fry it for some time until the colour changes to brown..
Add ginger garlic and green chillies paste to it and give it a quick stir..
Now add tomato puree and all the spices to it..
Cook it for 4-5minutes.Add chole and chole masala to it..
Now mix it all together and cook it for 10-12 minutes..
Chole is ready..
Garnish it with coriander leaves..
